Lesson: Read the Writing on the Wall
I had a dream many years ago of big red letters that read, "GET OUT OF ME!" I knew the message was from Yehovah but I didn't understand its meaning. I even asked several friends and they couldn't understand why God would tell me to get out of him.
I was reminded of this dream as I have been reading a book by Kenneth E. Hagin called The Believer's Authority.
I now know what God was trying to tell me all those years ago. You see, at the time I had a bad spirit in me and I kept praying to God to take care of it for me. God was telling me to take care of it myself. This might sound strange to you but it is actually biblical.
We were given authority over the darkness at the cross, with the death and resurrection of our Messiah and the giving of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit).
“Not one single time in the New Testament is the Church ever told to pray to God the Father or Jesus would do anything against the Devil… The believer is told to do something about the devil… The Church is NOT to pray to God, the Father about the Devil; the Church is to exercise the Authority that belongs to it!” ~ Kenneth E. Hagin
18 And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, “All power is given unto Me in Heaven and on earth.
15 And He said unto them, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe: In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them. They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
1 Peter 5:8
8 Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
27 neither give place to the devil.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to Yehovah. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
1 John 4:4
4 Ye are of Yehovah, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
I MAY BE IN THIS WORLD, BUT I AM NOT OF THIS WORLD!
The Right hand of the throne of Yehovah is the center of power of the whole universe! ~ Kenneth E. Hagin
What if Yeshua (Jesus) said to know him was to keep The Torah?
The Greek word Anomia (English pronunciation) G458 means without Torah.
illegality, violation of Law, sickness, iniquity, transgression of the Law, unrighteousness
You can check this for yourself, as I did for FREE. Simply download the e-Sword, Click Here. Once it is downloaded you will need to go to the top and look for Download and click it then choose Bibles. A new boxes opens and scroll down to Greek NT INT+ it has the Strong's Numbers. Click it and choose whatever else that catches your eye. Next, look at the top next to File for Download, click Download. Close the program and reopen it. Now let us look up the verses so you can read it for yourself.
Where do we find this word, Anomia in the scriptures?
You might say the Old Testament because you have been taught that the Torah was done away with when Yeshua (Jesus) died on the cross/stake.
You actually find Anomia in the Greek from which the English translation derives from. Really? You might be thinking, where? I have never read it before and I am an avid reader of the Bible.
Well brother and sisters in Messiah, it is in Matthew 7:23
Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Get away from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’”(TLV)
AndG2532 thenG5119 will I professG3670 unto them,G846 I neverG3763 knewG1097 you:G5209 departG672 fromG575 me,G1700 ye that workG2038 iniquity.G458(KJV+)
Both lawlessness and iniquity are synonymous with the meaning Without Torah!
What does this mean to me?
Well to get the big picture you really need to read the scriptures surrounding this scripture.
Mat 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. (TLV)
Mat 7:22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, and drive out demons in Your name, and perform many miracles in Your name?’ (TLV)
Mat 7:23 Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Get away from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’” (TLV)
I personally used to ask myself how anyone that just Believed, could do all those works including wonders in HIS Name and yet; He tells them to get away from HIM. I anguished personally over this for years. What was I missing? This is a Clue!!! I could not find the answer until an anointed brother in Messiah, Keith Johnson, of Biblical Foundations Academy, did a teaching on G458. Check it out HERE on YouTube for yourself. It is part of the Open Door Series.
Did You Know???
Did you know that the book of Matthew was originally written in Hebrew and that the Greek translation was from a Hebrew manuscript? Have you read Shem Tov's Hebrew Gospel of Matthew? You can read the translation of the book by George Howard of the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) ISBN: 978-0-86554-989-0
Something Else to Ponder...
The most misunderstood or misquoted biblical person was and still is Saul-Paul. Most Christian denominations teach more about what Paul said rather than what Messiah said. IF you go back and reread Paul from a Hebraic standpoint you will see clearly that he was not preaching anti-law but in fact he was instructing us all to keep the Torah just as he did and just as Messiah did when he walked this earth and commanded us (Followers of Messiah) to also do. Then there is the facts as it is written in the Old Testament where God commanded something and He finishes it with lots of statements about keeping it forever, for generations and generations, every year and so on.
Let me go one step further and ask you this question if you are still finding it hard to accept the truth. Where is it written that Paul had the authority to change what both God and Messiah set forth? When God said it in the Old Testament it always says for all your generations forever, that it was for also the stranger and foreigner amount them (joined to them).
This gives a whole new meaning to Matthew 5:17-19!
Do not think that I came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets! I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.
Truly I say to you that until heaven and earth depart not one letter or dot shall be abolished from the Torah or the Prophets, because all will be fulfilled.
He who shall transgress one word of these commandments (Torah) and shall teach others (not to follow the law), shall be called a vain (least) person in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever upholds and teaches them (The Law and the Ten Commandments, all of the Torah) shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Let that sink in…
Yes, Messiah himself is telling you to keep the Torah, to listen to Moses, to do what Moses said to do and not to do what Moses said not to do. Messiah is telling you to keep All of Torah, the first five books of the Bible and to listen to the Prophets!
Let me ask you, Do you love Messiah as HE states we must love HIM?
Matthew 10:37-39 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. (KJV)
It means that we are called to Love Messiah more than another person. It also means much more than that.
You must be willing to walk away from anything that does not align with The Word.
How do I take up His Cross/Stake?
Mat 10:38 And whoever does not take up his cross/stake and follow after Me isn’t worthy of Me.
Imitate Yeshua (Jesus) Completely! Do what He did. It is a FACT, that He did not read, write or speak English, nor did He read the King James Bible. In fact, Yeshua (Jesus) read the Tanak (The Old Testament and did everything it said to do and He did not do anything that it said NOT to do. Understanding the Old Testament is the KEY to Understanding the New Testament.
To walk how he walked is the KEY to understanding Yeshua (Jesus).
Yeshua kept the Biblical Calendar based on the Lunar cycle of the moon. He kept the Feasts and Festivals as commanded. He kept all the commandments and the law. What he had a problem with was the addition and subtraction of the commandments and the law and how man had lifted himself up above the Written Word of Yehovah. Keep it Simple as it was meant to be so simple a child could understand.
Finding Life and Loosing Life?
Mat 10:39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
What does this mean? If you are willing to do what it takes to stay in a place of safety, a comfort zone you are not Worthy of Him. When the world comes after you and demands your life, simply because of your Love and Following for Messiah, you will find the true life of eternity that Messiah offers us freely.
You might be saying, "But I was taught that ALL I had to do was BELIEVE, that works were done away with." We have all been lied and misled for centuries. Isn't it time to choose Truth and Righteousness or popularity? Are you willing to seek the Narrow gate and leave the Wide path to destruction?
Now that I know, what do I do?
Simply repent for the lies of your forefathers, ask for forgiveness, and ask for direction. Wait for the response and carry on!
A Prayer you can Pray
Here is a simple prayer you can pray. Fill free to change it to fit your needs.
Great Yehovah, I come before your throne Father with a troubled heart. I have been told lies, my heart is heavy and I am asking for forgiveness; for my stubborn heart and for my forefathers too. Father I want to set aside all that I have learned that is not of Your truth and righteousness. Father, teach me to love what You love and hate what You hate. Father remove the shells from my eyes and allow me to see Your spiritual things, open my ears to hear Your spiritual things so I can receive Your truth and righteousness, also Father give me understanding so that I can receive Your revelations and have understanding in my heart. Teach me about You, Your ways, and what my calling is for Your Kingdom’s Glory. Mold me, Father into what You would have me to be with Your vision for my walk with you.
Thank you for Yeshua’s sacrifices, my true salvation and my connection to you, magnificent Yehovah. Teach me how to be today’s living example of Yeshua’s walk with You by teaching me how to live and walk the FULL Gospel today. I fully understand that it is only by Your power Yehovah and for Your glory. I also, acknowledge that those that believe are the ones who receive according to their faith so that I may not be dismayed. May you be magnified and glorified in all that I do and May you place Your words in my mouth and give me strength to stand against evil.
Yehovah, I give you praise and all the honor. I exalt your name above all. There is no one like you, Father.
It is written that whatever I ask for in Yeshua’s name I shall receive it and I believe Your Word.
I Thank you for everything great and small that you have bestowed upon me, wonderful Yehovah!
I pray in Yeshua (Jesus) name. Amen!
